Born in Italy, Venier arrived in Argentina in 1925 where he studied at the Academia Nacional de Belles Artes. He was a founding member of the avant guard Orion group. Later he travelled to Europe and the Far East. His works have appeared in over 500 exhibitions throughout the world. He has won a number of awards and prizes in Argentina. He died in 1996. Boldly expressionist, Venier?s work is characterized by raw energy and a bold use of colour.
