Ron Geyl A patron of Fine Arts and prominent local business owner Ron Geyl custom designed and built 'Main Street Gallery' downstairs, and the associated 'Poets Cafe' upstairs in the 1990's. A passionate supporter of the Arts, and of the unique qualities of the Montville Village experience, Ron Geyl has helped to define Montville's well loved strong village identity. Ron welcomes local, interstate and overseas visitors into the thoughtfully designed Buildings and traditional village street-scape, of which he is justifiably proud. As a visitor destination, Montville is unique in QLD. Our valued clients here can enjoy great hospitality, and fine arts, all within the same purpose built complex, nestled into the rainforest. Supporting the gallery through a new direction, the established Main Street Gallery is now being bought up-to-date with dynamic contemporary exhibitions.
Gallery Manager
Mark Fowles-Prince A qualified and experienced international designer, Mark graduated from a top London institution in 1993. Involved in Art and Design education in the UK, he has held positions in colleges as a lecturer conducting advanced diploma courses. Mark also accompanied study visits to museums and galleries in London, Paris and New York. Later, he worked as an Interior Decorator in Brisbane and moved to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, working with clients and developers in sourcing & commissioning individual pieces. Mark has recently worked with other leading Art and Craft Galleries in Maleny and Montville, and represented some of the state's finest Artists and Craftspeople. Since 2009 proudly managing Main St Gallery, selecting from our local, regional & notable interstate artists – sourcing and presenting to our valued clients the very best in contemporary quality Art & Design, all beautifully presented in this unique rainforest gallery setting.
Gallery Location and Hours
Usual Gallery opening days / hours are Wednesday - Sunday 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. Gallery closed on Public Holidays.
Open by appointment only outside of these times - or enquire at Poets Cafe upstairs.
